Implementation Consultant

The ideal candidate…. will have a minimum
of two (2) years experience with software implementation projects
in the Document Management/Enterprise Content Management (ECM) market
space, or significant experience with complex ERP implementations.
Implementation Consultant
This is a great opportunity to be a valuable player in an exciting
company at the forefront of Paperless Process Management (PPM). If
you have the passion, energy and enthusiasm to work closely with
customers on systems ranging from the AS/400 resident applications
to Thin/Thick client PC applications, and work directly with Engineers
and QA, this is the position for you. Must have strong hands-on
root-cause investigative skills and ability to work in a fast pace
environment.
The Implementation Consultant will have the following duties
and responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical implementation plans for Paperless Process
Management implementations.
- Review and analyze functional requirements and technical specifications.
- Discuss technical requirements with cross functional business areas
(Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Receiving, Distribution, etc).
- Setup workflow, user authorities and profiles, database triggers
and stored procedures and all necessary software modules according
to specifications.
- Implement our Paperless Process Management
solution with required customizations, integration with customers’ ERP
/ business application and other third party products.
- Install required hardware and software and oversee technical training
of staff and customers on usage of our product and ancillary systems.
- Assist with systems testing and prepare the
software solution to go into production with minimal interruption
of customer’s processes.
- Provide technical assistance to consultants on the field and/or
customers.
- Organize work to meet objectives and schedules on time.
- Work with customers and the Project Manager to define and manage
the scope, strategy, requirements and implementation of projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Two plus years experience implementing
multi-platform, integrated software solutions.
- Understanding of database (SQL), networking,
and remote connectivity concepts.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003.
- Familiarity with document management / enterprise content management
systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced,
complex technical environment.
- Excellent negotiation and issue resolution skills.
- Strong understanding of system development life cycle such as Planning,
Analysis, Design, Testing and Implementation.
- Advanced user of MS Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Prioritizes assignments, balance multiple projects
and ensure schedules are maintained.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering of all sized projects.
- Seeks challenge and thrives on meeting deadlines
with quality and efficiency.
Qualifications: Experience/Education
- Experience with software implementation projects, with special
emphasis for document management / enterprise content management
type solutions.
- B.S. in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field required.
- Travel 25 – 35%
