The ideal candidate will have a minimum
of two (2) years experience with software implementation projects and
be familiar with basic IT components such as servers, operating systems,
hardware and software. Applicants with working knowledge of IBM System
i platform (iSeries; AS/400) are highly desirable.
The Product Specialist is one of our leading software implementation
consultants, taking care of all aspects related to configuring and
implementing our solutions at customer sites. In this role you will
be responsible for:
- Project management and requirements specification
- Meet with customers and prospects (on the phone and in person)
to determine project requirements and limitations including system,
user and program needs.
- Evaluate requests for new or modified computer programs to determine
feasibility and time required.
- Analyze requirements and create project plan outlining tasks
to be carried out, duration estimates, schedule and deadlines.
- Manage the implementation project and create status reports.
- Implementation and follow-up on product installations
- On-site and phone installation and configuration of our software
and ensure complete customer satisfaction
- Follow-up on product installations and schedule review meetings
when necessary
- Create and update installation documentation, issues, and pending
activities
- Training and customer service
- Perform in-house, on-site and on-line training for customers
on all Quadrant Software products.
- Provide in-house training to new employees and other in-house
staff.
- Provide back-up to the Technical Support department when needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience with technology projects, in special software
implementation projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum of 2 years of software
implementation, development or requirements specifications experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Proven ability of creating concise and comprehensive project documentation,
correspondence with customers and team members, presentation charts,
and excellent presentation and speaking skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, complex technical
environment
- Excellent negotiation and issue resolution skills
- Strong understanding of system development life cycle such as Planning,
Analysis, Design, Testing and Implementation
- Prioritizes assignments, balance multiple projects and ensure schedules
are maintained
- Proven experience in requirements gathering of all sized projects
- Seeks challenge and thrives on meeting deadlines with quality and
efficiency
Qualifications: Experience/Education
- Experience with software implementation projects
- Working knowledge of IBM System i (iSeries; AS/400) platform is
a plus
- B.S. in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field required
- Travel 40 – 50%
