The ideal candidate…. will have a minimum of five (5) years of QA experience including systems testing software suites, strong knowledge of quality assurance testing procedures and methodologies, the desire to participate in the development of state-of-the-art software products and thrive on fast-paced environments.

As the Sr QA Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a quality product through comprehensive testing and product documentation. Your specific duties will include creating system test plans for product releases, creation of test scripts, conducting testing, creating test data, logging defects, and signing off on product quality. You will work closely with the development organization to understand the product functionality in order help expand our product certification and test automation processes.

As the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will:

• Write test plans based on marketing requirements documents.
• Write test suites from development product requirement documents.
• Develop automated tests based on written test cases.
• Design and implement automated test cases with QA test tools (Silk, Silk Performer and OpenSta, preferred).
• Manage QA testing plans by tracking key QA milestones and deliverables.
• Collaborate with the Product Management and Development staff to derive test design and specifications.
• Prepare detailed test reports.

To be successful in this position you need:

• 3+ years experience creating complete system testing suites on a web-based or AS/400 systems.
• 3+ years programming experience with 4-test languages. Silk Test preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QA process and methodologies.
• Ability to create clear, concise defect submissions.
• Ability to troubleshoot software defects and identify root cause.
• Experience testing products with RDBMS (SQL Server), is helpful.
• Working knowledge of SQL preferred.
• Working knowledge of AS/400, helpful.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Required Experience and Education:

• 5+ years Quality Assurance experience.
  
• 4 year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent technical training and professional work experience.
