We suggest customers at a FastFax/Plus upgrade.
We suggest customers at a FastFax/LAN release less than 4.0 upgrade.
We are upgrading both our OS/400 as well as our AS/400. Do
we need to convert the FastFax programs from CISC to RISC?
No, our update handles the conversion.
Your software is conditioned by a security code. Do we need
a new security code when upgrading our AS/400?
Yes, the new security code is based on the AS/400 processor rather than
the AS/400 model. You need to speak with your account manager regarding
a new security code.
We are using FastFax/Blue. What do we need to upgrade?
We highly suggest you contact IBM and order the latest version of Facsimile
Support/400 with the latest cumulative PTF's. Please check www.quadrantsoftware.com/customer/tech.htm
for the latest IBM PTF's for Facsimile Support.
How long does the upgrade program run?
The update can take from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size
of your AS/400 and the size of the files within the FastFax system.
We also suggest you backup the FastFax library before updating.
Have we tested V4Rx?
We have customers running V3R1 through V4R5.
Is there a fee required to upgrade?
Upgrading to a new AS/400 or changing from CISC to RISC require additional
fees. Please contact your sales person for more details.
