The FastFax Developer Training Path provides a greater understanding of tools that FastFax/Enterprise and FastFax/Ultra offer to integrate with your existing applications.

Audience: Developers, RPG programmers.
Prerequisites: Working knowledge of FastFax architecture.

Class: Application Programming Interface (API)

Duration: 1.5 Hours
Objectives: At the conclusion of the class the participant will understand:

Duration: 1.5 Hours
Objectives: At the conclusion of the class the participant will comprehend:

• The Interactive Application Program (IAP)

Class: Extractor

Duration: 1.5 Hours
Objectives: At the conclusion of the class the participant will understand:

• Understand the general purpose of Extractor (XTR)
  
  • Automating fax/email with no programming
    
  • Two types of Extractor
    
    • Output Queue Monitor
      
    • Templates
  • Provide format/definitions
• Know how to find and update authorities to administer Extractor
  
• Navigate to the Extractor menus (iSeries 400)
  
• Create a template which includes the minimum amount of data definitions
  
• Have an overview of the additional/optional data definitions categories
  
  • Provides additional controls for efficiency, savings, productivity, etc. e.g., overlay forms, control page breaks, select specified jobs to be emailed
• Test Extractor
  
• Find documentation and assistance
