The FastFax End User Training Path provides a greater understanding
of the design, features, and benefits of FastFax/Enterprise and FastFax/Ultra.
This path introduces new users to FastFax and refreshers the skills
of existing users to fully utilize the time-saving/productivity features
of FastFax.
Audience: FastFax End Users
Beginner Prerequisites: Familiarity with a PC and working with iSeries
400 green screens.
Duration: 1 Hour
Objectives: At the conclusion of the class the participant will understand:
- The general capabilities of the FastFax User features (iSeries 400,
PC Clients, E-Mail Gateways)
- Navigating to the FastFax User Menu(s)
- The relationship of the User screens to the Users' FastFax profiles
Note: E-Mail Gateways and PC Clients is not part of FastFax/Ultra
instruction.
Duration: 1.5 Hours
Objectives: At the conclusion of the class the participant will comprehend:
- Fax/email types which can be sent from the iSeries 400
- The FastFax User Menu
- The design and functions of the FastFax User send screen
- Building a fax/email job
- Sending a job to multiple recipients
- Using a cover sheet and include cover sheet notes
- Including attachments with faxes/emails
- Understand the functionality of eDocmail

- The design and functions of the FastFax WindowFax Screen
- Building a fax/email job

- Including attachments with faxes/emails

Objectives: At the conclusion of the class the participant will understand:
- The design and functionality of the Work-With FastFax Messages Screens
- Managing outbound faxes/emails
- Managing inbound faxes/emails
- The available options/functions
- Resending faxes and emails

- Creating broadcast lists
- Adding PhoneBook entries into fax/email jobs

- Different NoteBooks and AttachmentBooks available to Users
- Creating and modifying entries in the Books
- Adding NoteBook and AttachmentBook entries into fax/e-mail jobs
Duration: 1.5 Hours
Objectives: At the conclusion of the class the participant will understand:
- The capabilities of the FastFax E-Mail Gateway
- Creating a fax from Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes or Novell GroupWise
- Attaching files to a Gateway fax
- FastFax messages
