Save Time When Changing the Default Cover Sheet Hi Angela, It just so happens there is an easier, simpler, and faster way! Instead of having the User Profile reference a specific cover sheet, you can set the cover sheet value to point to a User’s Department Profile. The Department Profile then functions as a “group” profile. Then all you would need to do is update the Default Cover Sheet in the Department Profile(s) to automatically update the cover sheet used by everyone in that department. Here’s how you accomplish this on the iSeries 400: 1. From the FastFax
Main Menu (FFXMAIN), choose Option #2 for Work with Profiles.
You might want to visit the first page of a user profile’s General Defaults section, seeing as you can use the same techniques to set a lot of other defaults to *DEPT. This includes 'days to save outbound/inbound jobs', 'send messages to users', 'priorities', and 'maximum pages that can be transmitted' can all be configured on a department-wide level. Here’s how you accomplish this on the PC client: 1. Open the FaxBar.
Select FastFax Administration. Select the Profiles shortcut bar.
If desired, you can select the user’s profile and go the General Defaults 1 tab. Any of the values can also be set to point to the Department Profile by select the “Dept” button(s) and selecting the Apply button. All the best, |
