| Make Multiple Changes Using the 'Arrange' Toolbar Hi Mike, Formtastic has a toolbar you’re really going to like! It’s the 'Arrange' toolbar and it includes a variety of tools to easily an simultaneously modify heights, widths, sizes, alignment, etc., for two or more boxes and lines. Here’s how it works: First, if you don’t see the 'Arrange' toolbar in the Editor, go to View, place your cursor over Toolbars, then select Arrange. The 'Arrange' toolbar is now visible.
Since you'll use this toolbar a lot, I recommend that you leave it shown. Note that you can “park” the toolbar wherever you’d like it. Let’s say you’d like to make one box the same size as another. Draw the first box (Box 1) to your desired size. Now draw a second box (Box 2) at any size and leave it selected. Hold the Shift or Ctrl key and select the Box 1. Both boxes will be selected, but the red “handles” on Box 1 indicate that it’s the object with the desired dimensions you need to repeat. Now select the 'Same Size' icon on the 'Arrange' toolbar. Both boxes are now the same size. Keep in mind that you can use this technique to select as many boxes at the same time to make the same size as you need – just make the “referenced” box the last one you select.
Other icons on the 'Arrange' toolbar enable you to select two or more lines/boxes and make them same width/height, align them left/center/right, align them top/center/bottom, space them evenly horizontally/vertically. Create a few test lines and boxes, then try these tools. You’ll find it makes sizing and alignment a lot easier and quicker. Let me know of you have any more questions about the 'Arrange' toolbar.
