"Quadrant Software prides itself in its diverse working environment, and in fostering a creative and dynamic company culture. Part of that culture includes encouraging employees to become active in and connected to their communities." states Gary Langton, Quadrant Software’s CEO and Co-Founder. Each year, employees are given one full paid day to volunteer at a non-profit of their choice. Last year, several chose to work at the Salvation Army’s 2005 Holiday Toyshop where they taped floors, sorted through donations, and organized various items. Thanks to their hard work, more than 6,496 local children and teens, and their families, received gifts and food for the holiday season. "...The children we serve live in households at or below the federal poverty level, and many of them would not have received any gifts for Christmas if it weren’t for the generosity of friends like you." stated Major Connie Mikles, Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Child Director, in a January 27, 2006 letter to Quadrant Software. This year employees will be given the same opportunity and are currently searching for local organizations they can support throughout the year. This is only one of the many ways the company is planning to give back to the Tampa Bay community. This is supported by their employees who feel the company’s progressive business culture rivals those found in other major cities throughout the country. "As a creative professional, I look for companies that have modern management structures, support professional development, and most importantly, take their social responsibility seriously. Quadrant Software is a gem in Tampa Bay in this regard. It reminds me of companies I have worked for in New York City, where employees work hard, but are also actively involved in their neighborhoods, local communities, and important causes. For the most part, a company’s culture can greatly influence how active you can be." states Sandra Ordonez, a Quadrant Software employee. Quadrant Software moved their World headquarters from Taunton, Mass. to Tampa Bay this past summer. This marked the company’s first step toward expanding its investment in the Tampa Bay economy, acquiring new technology, and creating new moderate-to-high paying jobs.
