Quadrant Software Receives Governor's Newcomer Diversification Award September 19, 2006 - Quadrant Software is the proud recipient of the 2006 Governor's Business Diversification Award for the mega market newcomer category. The award, sponsored annually by Enterprise Florida (EFI), honors businesses that are new to Florida and have already had an impact on the State. CEO and Co-founder of Quadrant Software, Gary Langton, received the award at a special luncheon at the Governor's Mansion this past Monday, September 18th. "We welcome Quadrant Software as the newest member of Florida's growing hub of international technology-based companies, and stand committed to ensuring a business climate and infrastructure that supports emerging technologies and entrepreneurship," said Governor Jeb Bush. Quadrant Software, the leading international software developer of Paperless Process Management (PPM) solutions, opened their World Headquarters in Tampa last summer after receiving tax incentives under Florida’s Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund (QTI) program. They recently broke ground on $2.0 Million, 10,000 square foot building located in Telecom Park, a campus-style high-technology business park. The company, which has already created 14 high paying jobs since then, chose Tampa because of its demographic density of highly diverse, educated and skilled workforce, its world-class international airport, the proximity of other high-tech companies, the quality of life, and its proximity to Latin American and Caribbean markets. "We look forward to a long and prosperous future in Tampa Bay. I am confident that Quadrant Software will be able to contribute significantly to the local community by creating jobs, and attracting young creative talent to the area," states Gary Langton, Quadrant Software CEO & Co-Founder. Since its arrival, the company has already donated over 80 volunteer hours to local nonprofits in the area, including the Salvation Army, the Big Cat Rescue, and the Metropolitan Ministries of Tampa. "The reception we have received from the community has been incredible. After investigating several possible locations, we know we made a good decision in picking Tampa," states Mr. Langton. The company was founded in 1990 by co-founders Gary Langton and Peter DePierro. The World Headquarters is located on 13095 Telecom Parkway North in Temple Terrace, at Verizon SmartPark. Additionally, their North American Headquarters are located in Boston, MA, and their European Headquarters are located in London, England. About Quadrant Software |
