TAUNTON, MA (August 12, 2002) -- Quadrant Software, the leading developer of Electronic Document Distribution (EDD) solutions for the iSeries 400 enterprise, announces the immediate availability of FastFax/Enterprise version 4.4 to better manage fax messaging automation in mixed-LAN organizations with an iSeries 400 operating business critical applications.

FastFax/Enterprise is the premier member of Quadrant Software’s award-winning FastFax Family of Products™, a suite of high performance efax servers designed to improve employee efficiency and reduce overhead costs associated with manually faxing time sensitive business documents. The FastFax product line can be used separately or as a transparently integrated component of Quadrant Software’s EDD solutions suite including Formtastic and E-Mail Gateway/eDocMail.

FastFax/Enterprise transmits, receives, and centrally manages faxes to and from the iSeries 400, Windows 2000/NT, and Novell NetWare. In addition, this solution interfaces with Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Lotus Domino/Notes, and Novell GroupWise to manage faxes from email clients.

• ANI Inbound Routing for Flawless Delivery
  With Automatic Number Identification (ANI) routing, FastFax/Enterprise 4.4 identifies the sender’s fax number from an incoming transmission and uses that data to automatically forward the document to a pre-set destination. For example, if you receive invoices from a specific vendor fax number, you can automatically route them to the correct accounts payable clerk in your company. Eliminate manual distribution and ensure that the right person gets the right document every time.



• Integrates with Image Management Systems
  Using new inbound routing tools, FastFax 4.4 files important incoming documents directly into your popular image management system for automatic and easy management, routing, and retrieval. Cut down on manual filing, reduce the risk of human error, and increase the ROI for both FastFax and your image management software.



• SMTP Gateway Enhanced With Outbound Delivery
  Our improved SMTP Gateway provides all the delivery functionality of any enterprise email gateway. Add outbound as well as inbound delivery of emails as fax to any email system including Linux and UNIX servers. Our SMTP Gateway works with all common document formats including PDF.



• Tight Microsoft Exchange 2000 Integration
  Allow users to manage faxes from their email client mailboxes in Microsoft Exchange 2000. Received faxes appear as inbound email messages and outbound faxes can be sent from email clients. This new version includes working with active directories.



• Improved WindowFax Messenger Productivity
  New mouse functionality means you’re just a right-click away from the common tasks while working with an inbound or outbound fax. View, print, re-send, or get history and details from any fax. If you use a fax queue manager, this will save you time and money with enhanced productivity.

  FastFax Output Queue Monitor supports send documents via email in addition to fax.
