Quadrant Software Releases V4.6.0 Of the FastFax eFax Server

Enhancements include expanded automatic inbound routing options, allowing the attachment of files
in their native format to outbound emails and cluster support.

TAUNTON, MA (September, 2004) -- Quadrant Software, the leading developer of Electronic Document Distribution (EDD) solutions for the iSeries enterprise, announces the immediate availability of version V4.6.0 of the FastFax/Enterprise, FastFax/Ultra, and FastFax/LAN fax servers.

FastFax improves user efficiency and saves overhead costs by replacing manual fax machines with secure batch and interactive faxing from within any major business application. FastFax can be used separately or in conjunction with Quadrant Software’s EDD solution suite including Formatter, Formtastic Fusion5, and E-Mail Gateways.

FastFax transmits, receives, and centrally manages faxes to and from the iSeries, Windows 2000/NT servers, Novell NetWare servers, and Windows workstations. In addition, this solution interfaces with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Novell GroupWise, and any SMTP server to manage faxes from familiar email clients including Outlook and Notes.

Enhancements for FastFax/Enterprise V4.6.0 include:

Enhanced Inbound Routing
FastFax supports DNIS and ANI inbound routing to allow the automatic delivery of inbound fax documents to a user's desktop fax client or email client. Version 4.6.0 delivers multiple copies of an inbound document to any combination of email, print, and fax recipients without manual intervention. In addition, inbound documents can be automatically delivered into an archiving / imaging system without scanning or manual indexing. FastFax V4.6.0 can even 'learn' new inbound routing rules based on a routing history file.

These new inbound routing options greatly increase inbound routing flexibility while reducing the potential for human error. It also further removes the user and administrator from time-consuming manual routing tasks.

Outbound Email Attachments in Native Format
When delivering documents to email clients, FastFax V4.6.0 can attach files to the outbound email with the original extension and format intact.

This benefits anyone who needs to deliver documentation along with important files that require third-party software for review. For example, a manufacturer can send a purchase order for parts along with intact auto-cad files.

Expanded Support for:
Now Supported: IBM OS/400 V5-R3; Windows Terminal Server 2003; Domino v. 6.5.1 and Microsoft Exchange 2003 clustering.

Pricing:
FastFax/Enterprise V4.6.0 starts at $10,700 (USD) for new purchases. Current FastFax/Ultra customers wishing to upgrade to FastFax/Enterprise V4.6.0 will realize substantial cost savings.
