Quadrant Software Releases V4.6.1 Of the FastFax eFax Server

TAUNTON, MA (July 2005) -- Quadrant Software, the leading developer of Electronic Document Distribution (EDD) solutions for the iSeries enterprise, announces the immediate availability of version V4.6.1 of the FastFax/Enterprise, FastFax/Ultra, and FastFax/LAN fax servers.

FastFax, an IBM ServerProven solution, improves user efficiency and saves overhead costs by replacing manual fax machines with secure batch and interactive faxing from within any major business application. FastFax can be used separately or in conjunction with Quadrant Software’s EDD solution suite including Formatter, Formtastic Fusion5, and E-Mail Gateways.

FastFax transmits, receives, and centrally manages faxes to and from the iSeries, Windows 2000/NT servers, Novell NetWare servers, and Windows workstations. In addition, this solution interfaces with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Novell GroupWise, and any SMTP server to manage faxes from familiar email clients including Outlook and Notes.

Enhancements for FastFax/Enterprise V4.6.1 include:

Enhanced PDF Support
FastFax can now create and deliver documents as highly functional PDF attachments with searchable text and full color formatting. FastFax's enhanced PDF support means that PDFs look more professional and allow users to easily search document text.

System Message Delivery by Email
End users and administrators now have the option to have all FastFax system messages delivered directly to their email inbox. Whether it's the delivery status of a specific document or system alerts & updates, FastFax lets users and administrators utilize the inbox to keep track of FastFax.

Increased Functionality for LAN API
FastFax's LAN API has been augmented with improved auto-purge functionality allowing administrators greater control over saving and deleting fax jobs without manual intervention. FastFax 4.6.1 also works with any Microsoft Windows application that can produce PCL output.

Integration with Xerox Multi-Function Printers (MFP)
FastFax now features a tight integration with Xerox MFPs and WorkCentres, allowing faxes delivered from MFPs to be delivered, tracked, managed, and archived from within the FastFax. This new integration allows for greater centralized control over document delivery and management.
