Quadrant Software's New FastFax 4.6.2 Increases Throughput And Reliability

TAMPA, FL (NOVEMBER 2005) -- Quadrant Software, the leading developer of Paperless Process Management (PPM) solutions for creating, managing, archiving, and delivering iSeries business documents and content, announces the immediate availability of version 4.6.2 of its FastFax/Enterprise, FastFax/Ultra, and FastFax/LAN fax servers.

Enhancements for FastFax/Enterprise V4.6.2 include:

Supports Brooktrout's TR1034 Analog Fax Board
Brooktrout's TR1034™ series offers enterprise customers a line of high performance 33.6 Kbps intelligent fax boards with real-time fax over IP capabilities for a variety of computer-based fax applications, such as network fax, fax broadcast, unified messaging, and business process automation. Previous FastFax releases already supported Brooktrout's TR1034 digital (T1/E1) cards.

Auto-Enabled V.34 Fax Protocol
Fax devices supporting the V.34 protocol deliver more reliable fax transmissions (requiring fewer resends) under a wider range of line conditions. The V.34 protocol automatically recognizes and applies the optimum combination of modulation methods and impairment-compensation techniques for each fax call. The result is faster fax transmissions and significant long-term cost savings.  FastFax processors will now have V.34 enabled as a default setting. 

Dual Support for TR1034 Analog and Digital Fax Cards
FastFax can now be configured to simultaneously support both digital and analog TR1034 fax cards. This allows the FastFax processor to automatically transmit faxes and emails across both digital and analog phone lines without administrator intervention or the use of digital-to-analog adapters when using Brooktrout’s TR1034 fax card.

FastFax, an IBM ServerProven solution, improves user efficiency and saves overhead costs by replacing manual fax machines with secure batch and interactive faxing from within any major business application. FastFax can be used separately or in conjunction with Quadrant Software's PPM solution suite including IntelliChief, Formatter, Formtastic Fusion5, and E-Mail Gateways.
