Quadrant Software Releases V4.5.2 Of the FastFax eFax Server

The leader in Electronic Document Distribution (EDD) solutions for the iSeries 400 enterprise releases an upgrade for its premier efax server.

TAUNTON, MA (January 20, 2004) -- Quadrant Software, the leading developer of Electronic Document Distribution (EDD) solutions for the iSeries enterprise, announces the immediate availability of version V4.5.2 of the FastFax/Enterprise, FastFax/Ultra, and FastFax/LAN fax servers.

FastFax improves employee efficiency and reduce the overhead costs associated with manually faxing time-sensitive business documents. FastFax can be used separately or seamlessly integrated into Quadrant Software’s EDD solutions suite, which includes Formtastic Fusion5 and E-Mail Gateways.

FastFax transmits, receives, and centrally manages faxes to and from the iSeries, Windows 2000/NT servers, Novell NetWare servers, and Windows workstations. In addition, this solution interfaces with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Novell GroupWise, and any SMTP server to manage faxes from familiar email clients including Outlook and Notes.

Enhancements for FastFax/Enterprise V4.5.2 include:

  • New, High-Availability Hardware Configurations
FastFax servers now include two high-availability models for customers requiring continuous server operation and increased data integrity. Available for FastFax/Enterprise, FastFax/Ultra, and FastFax/LAN solutions, these new fax servers provide greater security and stability to IT environments where uninterrupted fax and email delivery of mission-critical documents is paramount.
  • Enhanced Inbound Routing
FastFax now supports any combination of DNIS, and ANI routing values and digits, including partial numbers. This allows administrators greater flexibility in customizing automatic delivery of inbound fax documents directly to the recipient's desktop fax client or email client.
  • FastFax Purge Improvements
FastFax has implemented several purge upgrades to increase the efficiency while decreasing the amount of time it takes for a purge to complete.
  • Batch Cover Sheets Customization by Department
FastFax now offers the ability to send customized batch cover sheets by department. This feature allows less-costly batch faxing to occur without sacrificing recipient recognition.
  • Integrated T1/E1 Fax Cards
FastFax servers can now be fitted with a single high-performance fax card that can send and receive transmissions at 33.6 Kbps. This provides maximum efficiency for companies that require rapid delivery in high-volume faxing environments.

Pricing:
FastFax/Enterprise V4.5.2 starts at $10,700 (USD) for new purchases. Current FastFax/Ultra customers wishing to upgrade to FastFax/Enterprise 4.5.2 will realize substantial cost savings.
