Interview explores methodology for integrating electronic
document distribution into Infor
for increased document
efficiency while cutting costs.
TAUNTON, MA (September 2004) -- Quadrant Software,

featuring Metal Technology Solutions (Youngstown, OH) and their use
of EDD within a Infor environment.
The study features an interview with Metal Technology Solutions’ Director
of IT, Gary Baker, and details how the company evaluated, installed,
and implemented Quadrant Software's Formtastic electronic forms design
solution as well as FastFax / Enterprise for automatic document delivery
by fax and email.

The Metal Technology Solutions Case Study specifically illustrates

by eliminating manual faxing and paper handling processes. "The
users basically asked 'How can we reduce the number of manual faxes
we send?'", says Baker, adding that before installing EDD, one
of the company's plants had a person who spent 3-4 hours a day sending
manual faxes.
This sharply contrasts with his post-EDD model: "We not only saved
on pre-printed forms, but we cut 15-20 hours of manual faxing a week.
So, in some instances we saved thousands of dollars a week in time,
pre-printed forms, printers, ribbons."
