Quadrant Software Helps Foundry Focus On Its Core Competencies With EDD

TAUNTON, MA (April, 2005) -- Founded in 1946, Plymouth Foundry, Inc. has a long tradition of innovation and experimentation to stay competitive and maintain high customer satisfaction. Sheets of paper may not sound like too much of a threat but they were preventing them from doing what they do best: deliver high-quality gray, ductile, and white iron parts to their customers.

The solution was a complete Electronic Document Distribution implementation from Quadrant Software that helped the company automate the delivery of their mission critical documents by fax and email and reduce pre-printed forms. Plymouth Foundry now can focus on customer service, a key aspect for their business.

The details of this story can be found on a new case study from Quadrant Software that features an interview with Plymouth Foundry's IS Director, Joann Wagoner, and details how the company evaluated, installed, and implemented Quadrant Software's Formtastic electronic forms design solution as well as FastFax / Enterprise for automatic document delivery by fax and email.

"We're a B&L Information Systems partner, so it's important that Quadrant Software fully explain the benefits of integrating EDD with BLIS-400," says Gary Langton, Quadrant Software's President. "The best way to do that is by letting people within the BLIS-400 community tell the story themselves."

The Plymouth Foundry Case Study specifically addresses how the company was able to use document conditioning within EDD to keep up with customer demands while reducing costs and increasing efficiency. "Customers are getting more and more demanding about wanting their documents delivered in different ways," says Wagoner. "You might forget to send a customer a copy of something that they wanted because there are so many people who want something different. Quadrant Software's interface with BLIS-400 lets us put a code into the customer master file that says 'anytime an acknowledgement gets sent to this particular customer, I need a copy to go to this person, too'. You put it in once and it happens automatically."
