Customer Testimonial
“(The savings from Formtastic) would definitely be in
the thousand of dollars. We have more than paid for the software
already. We’ve saved just by not buying any new preprinted
forms.” Johny Johnson

Formatter re-configures spool data to eliminate redundant
data and implement multiple page styles. This reduce the overall
page count by 50 - 75%. Formtastic then hands the new spool data
to Formtastic, which applies your form design template.
Quadrant Software's iSeries 400 engine distributes documents
to your choice of printers, fax, email, or post to the Web.
Formtastic Dual-Screen GUI
On the PC, use the our unique graphical user interface to manipulate
your spool data to create a news spool file that is 50 - 75% shorter
than the original. Our dual-screen GUI lets you see and edit the
original data and your new data scheme with ease.
Redundant Data Wastes Valuable Space
Without pre-processing, spool data includes redundant data on
every page. In this example, you can see that the same headers
appear at the top of evey page and reduce the the amount of space
for detail items. Also, you can see that many of the detail items
take up two lines or more.
How Formatter Cleans Up Your Forms
Formatter allows you to eliminate redundant headers & footers.
Instead, you use multiple page styles for the first, last, and
interior pages. Also, Formatter allows you to control how detail
item appearance and spacing. This allows you to condense multi-line
detail items to one line.
The end result is a professional document that's 50 - 75% shorter
and easier to read!
A Closer Look at a Formatter-Treated Form
Take a look at this example to see what Formatter & Formtastic
can do for your forms! This was a 2 - 3 page form that we cut
down to one page.
Because of the reduced page count, it's more cost effective to
print, mail, and fax. Even better, the recipient will have no
problem reading and responding to your documents.
Formatter Puts You in Control of your
Data
Formatter also lets you place relative controls on your data.
This means you can design a document to appear exactly
as you want without any constraints.
Here's an example using the 'Subtotal Area' of your form. Typically,
the subtotal is locked into appearing at the absolute bottom of
every page. It doesn't matter if the form contains five or fifty
detail items.
Using Formatter, you can allow your Subtotal data to float directly
under the final detail item. This makes your form easier to read
and more professional in appearance.
As you can see in these two images, the subtotal's location appears
relative to last detail item.
